Brevard County School District has 16 high schools. Career and Technical schools with specialized academies are located in all high schools. Brevard County has two high schools with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program and four high schools with the Cambridge International Diploma program. Fifteen of the 16 high schools offer advanced placement courses, and all high schools offer collegiate or dual enrollment opportunities.

Brevard Public Schools are educational leaders under the banner of FIRST IN FLORIDA. In 2006-07, Brevard schools ranked in the top seven districts in reading, math and science in each of the 17 areas assessed by the FCAT.
