Dawson School is Boulder, Colorado’s top ranked private, independent school. With the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, Dawson School occupies 108 landscaped acres on a hilltop overlooking the Boulder Valley.

Dawson is for students with a healthy curiosity who are ready to engage in a stimulating school life. Small classes, high academic expectations, nationally recruited teachers, a commitment to community service, plus 15 arts electives, 15 sports, and 15 AP courses provide a very well rounded educational experience, where excellence is the norm. Dawson is accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools, and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools, and adheres to their rigorous standards.

Dawson’s goal is to prepare students for what the world demands, with traits essential for success such as a broad foundation of knowledge, innovation and technology, flexibility, perseverance, the parallel skill set of independence and collaboration, and compassion.

The school is located in the town of Lafayette, which is a thriving community located 20 minutes east of Boulder and 35 minutes north of Denver.
