School Profile
Melrose High School is the sole comprehensive four-year secondary school in the city. It has an enrollment of approximately 950 students and is serviced by faculty numbering 85. The MHS curriculum affords students the opportunities to engage in a broad range of depth of study in all major academic areas. In addition, both introductory and advanced opportunities for growth through sequential course offerings are presented in the areas of Computer Aided Design, Web Design, Nutrition, Video Production, Orchestra, Band, and Chorus as well as other areas of technology and the arts.

The City of Melrose is a suburb of Boston located seven miles to the north. The population is comprised of commuting professionals, business people, and city employees committed to supporting quality public education. Many residents use public transportation to and from Boston for recreation, cultural experiences, sporting events and their occupations.
